About Web Marketing

(see "Workshops" for courses in web marketing)

Marketing on the Web is a powerful tool if it is used correctly and it is becomming more and more popular. It is easy to understand why - it is innexpensive, reaches (possibly) millions of people and does not really have a "shelf" life as most other advertising has; for example an advertisment in a daily newspaper could have a shelf life of only one day.

It is important to engage a web marketer who has studied the subject and who keeps updated with trends. If a web marketer "guarantees" results, run for the hills. All that should be guaranteed is that what is promised is carried out - it is impossible to guarantee that clients will come flooding in. The more a website is marketed, the more "important" it becomes and the better it will be ranked in any search.

Remember that a website is like a garden - it needs to be planted then nutured, weeded, added to, reconstructed from time to time.... it needs to be tended with loving care and in return it will grow stronger and reward you.

Marketing a website is an ongoing process......
